When you lift your hands in dua’a, and look into the unique lines on your palms… As you’re sitting on the floor, before your Lord and as you ask Him for the things that come to your mind… And your list continues… And it expands… And you think of all the things you wanted and realize all the things you actually need… You begin to make dua’a for your aakhira, for your parents’ lives here - for their struggles and hardships to vanish, to never be a disappointment for them - and for their aakhira… And you remember all the people in your life that need guidance and deserve the mercy of the Lord that you sit before… And your eyes begin to fill with tears from your past sins, as you beg for forgiveness, and seek His guidance and His mercy and His blessings… And the tears roll down your cheeks, and at this point you can no longer make dua’a… You’re simply sitting there, before Allah, crying, staring at your hands… No thoughts cross your mind except that you are so insignificant and you’re sitting before the Creator of the universe… And you are thankful that it is He whom you have turned to for help because it is only Him who can grant you your needs and forgiveness… And you feel, at this point, that there is no barrier between you and your Creator and nothing but Him is greater and you realize you need Him more than anything. And you begin to feel an achievement of spiritual connection as you make dua’a to Him. It brings the creation closer to the creator and reminds us of our place and our needs and our weaknesses and His greatness. May He forgive us. May He guide us. Family upset “human rights” conference has deceased daughter’s name on it
A local Arab American family is angry over an upcoming ”human rights” conference that features the name of their deceased daughter, believing that its true goal is to push an anti-Islam agenda.
Mokdad was only 20-years-old when her step-father Rahim Alfetlawi shot her to death in Warren.Following the fatal incident mixed reports about Alfetlawi’s motive for killing Mokdad were disputed. Family members of Mokdad and a prosecutor on the case say Alfetlawi was controlling, and obsessed with Mokdad.
The family says Alfetlawi wanted to have a romantic relationship with Mokdad. Others say it was a honor killing and religiously motivated, because Mokdad wasn’t following traditional Islamic customs and becoming “Westernized.” “It wasn’t a honor killing at all,” a close friend of the family said. Speaking to The Arab American News by phone Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor, Bill Cataldo says there’s sufficient proof that religion was not a factor that triggered the crime. He says days leading up to the incident Mokdad came forward to police with information about Alfetlawi, and also shared that information with a friend.
The information is not being disclosed, because those who knew Mokdad well may be sensitive about it. When Alfetlawi learned Mokdad had shared the information with police and a friend he became angry according to Cataldo. She was found dead afterwards.
Conservative blogger Pamela Geller is hosting the conference. Geller is also the executive director of the American Freedom Defense Initiative, and Stop Islamization of America. In a television interview Geller said she’s just trying to save other women from being the next Mokdad.
Trying to act hero or making an opportunity to bring down Islam..? Heh.

Forever reblog. The moment when you realize a child living in total poverty is more happy than you are. Money truly cannot buy happiness. I am in pursuit of that happiness.
Its funny how you hardly see a rich kid dancing this way.. Happiness is in ur heart. Feel it. Explore it. And ultimately, be thankful with it..

Allah doesn’t give you the strength to be sabr for nothing.. There are things you need to be firm but not necessarily angry. ‘Coz fire will only burn things apart.. Just random opinion and reminder to self before others.

Six ways to earn even after death
- Give a copy of Qur’an to someone. Each time one reads from it, you gain.
- Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time sick person uses it, you gain.
- Participate in building a masjid.
- Place watercooler in a public place.
- Plant a tree. You gain whenever a person or animal sits in its shade or eats from it.
- And the easiest of all, share this message with people. Even 1 applies any of the above, you gain.
Subhanallah.. :)

I feel the exact sentiment. :)Dear Jason Russell,
After being bombarded with your KONY 2012 crusade, I have no choice but to respond to your highly inaccurate, offensive, and harmful propaganda. I realized I had to respond in hopes of stopping you before you cause more violence and deaths to the Acholi people (Northern…

Blessings come in packages of two. With every blessing is a test. So don’t ever envy people who seem to have more than you. The more blessings, the more tests. And the greater the blessing, the harder the test.Yasmin Mogahed (via skycloudsky)Ya Allah.. Don’t compare my life to others. Our blessings and tests are entirely different.
